ORDER 2025-7 COURTHOUSE
ENTRANCE REQUIREMENTS
Is it hereby ORDERED that Standing Order No. 2025-7, titled “Courthouse Entrance
Requirements” and entered on June 24, 2025, is VACATED. The entrance requirements at all
United States District and Bankruptcy Courthouses in the Western District of Virginia shall
return to the procedures in effect prior to that Standing Order. The court further notes that
federal courthouses remain exempt from the provisions of the REAL ID Act to protect the
constitutional right of defendants and other members of the public’s access to court proceedings.
Thus, REAL IDs are not required for entry.
