AMENDED ORDER OF APPRECIATION AND HOLIDAY ADMINISTRATIVE LEAVE
Federal law establishes public holidays for federal employees. These holidays
are observed through the granting of administrative leave to the staff of the offices of the United
States District Court for the Southern District of West Virginia.
The Court recognizes and deeply appreciates the hard work, dedication, and pro-
fessionalism consistently demonstrated by all employees in service to the public and the
admin-istration of justice. The Judges of this Court value the commitment each employee brings
to his or her duties. The Judges further acknowledge the importance of spending meaningful time
with fam-ily and friends during the holiday season.
In extended observance of the Thanksgiving holiday, the offices of the Southern
District of West Virginia will be closed on Friday, November 28, 2025.
In extended observance of the Christmas and New Year’s holidays, the offices of
the Southern District of West Virginia will be closed on Friday, December 26, 2025, and Friday,
January 2, 2026. In addition, considering the Executive Order entered December 18, 2025,
grant-ing administrative leave to Executive Branch employees on December 24, 2025, the offices
of the Southern District of West Virginia will be closed on Wednesday, December 24, 2025.
The Court extends its gratitude to all employees for their dedicated service through-
out the year and wishes everyone a safe and joyful holiday season.
