16 The United States District Court for the Western District of Washington is undertaking
17 the process of appointing members to the District’s Local Criminal Rules Committee. Per the
18 District’s process for proposing new local rules to the Court, the Chief Judge shall appoint, every
19 other year, a committee comprised of a district judge, magistrate judge, a representative from the
20 Clerk’s Office, United States Attorney’s Office (“USAO”), the Federal Public Defender
21 (“FPD”), Criminal Justice Act (“CJA”) panel, and any other representatives who may possess
22 specialized knowledge or skill in a particular area of criminal proceedings. Accordingly, the
