10 Pursuant to 18 U.S.C. § 3006A(e)(2), CJA appointed counsel are required to
11 obtain prior authorization from the District Court for any service provider fees in excess
12 of $900.00 per case. For the efficiency of counsel and the Court, the Court hereby
13 authorizes CJA counsel to utilize the services of paralegals, investigators, and
14 interpreters up to $2600.00 for each service provider type without further Order of the
15 Court. CJA counsel and service providers shall otherwise comply with 18 U.S.C.
16 § 3006A(e)(2), and agree to be bound by the presumptive hourly rates established by
17 the Ninth Circuit Judicial Council.
18 This General Order is consistent with the recommendation of the Judicial
19 Council of the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals contained in the Criminal Justice Act
20 Policies and Procedures, adopted on October 20, 2016.
