11 This General Order is being issued to update certain procedures for Criminal Justice Act
12 (“CJA”) attorneys. Henceforth, CJA counsel may utilize the services of paralegals, investigators,
13 and interpreters at the higher of the District’s or the Ninth Circuit’s presumptive standard rates,
14 up to the prevailing waivable maximum case compensation for expert services set forth in the
15 Guide to Judiciary Policy, § 310.20.10(A), each, per case, without obtaining prior authorization
16 from the Court.
17 This order supersedes General Orders 06-19, 08-22, and 05-23.
18 This Order is effective immediately.
