In fulfillment of the court’s obligation to promote judicial economy and the orderly
working of the judiciary, the following case-management procedures are established to
address the additional cases related to Securities & Exchange Commission v. The
Estate of Stephen Romney Swensen, et al., Case No. 1:22-cv-00135-RJS-DBP, that the
court anticipates will be filed. The objective of this Order is to streamline procedures,
avoid duplication of work, combine similar hearings, avoid inconsistent decisions, and
promote judicial economy.
Accordingly, pursuant to DUCivR 83-2(a)(2), IT IS HEREBY ORDERED that all
future cases filed by Receiver Chad S. Pehrson arising from or relating to Securities &
Exchange Commission v. The Estate of Stephen Romney Swensen, et al., Case No.
1
1:22-cv-00135-RJS-DBP, shall be directly assigned to Chief District Judge Robert J.
Shelby.
