JUDGE SELECTION PANEL FOR THE
SOUTHERN REGION
The Court has been informed that part-time Magistrate Judge Robert Braithwaite will
retire effective May 6, 2019, and has received authorization to fill the vacancy created by his
retirement. In accordance with Volume 3, Chap. 4, § 420.50 of the Guide to Judiciary Policy
governing the Selection, Appointment, and Reappointment of United States Magistrate Judges
and having advised all panel members of restrictions imposed by Judicial Conference
Regulations regarding their eligibility for future magistrate judge positions,
IT IS HEREBY ORDERED that, effective today, the following persons are appointed to
serve as the Merit Selection Panel for the upcoming vacancy for the part-time United States
Magistrate Judge located in St. George, Utah.

IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that the Panel submit its report designating the five

Court on or before October 26, 2018.
