IN RE: INTERPRETER SERVICES IN GENERAL ORDER 16-001
CRIMINAL JUSTICE ACT CASES
In cases involving CJA counsel and requiring interpreter services, the Court
authorizes interpreter services up to the current statutory maximum rate provided by the
Administrative Office in the Guide to Judiciary Policy, Volume 7, Chapter 3, without prior
approval from the Court. As of January 1, 2016, the statutory maximum is $2,500.00
After interpreter services have reached the statutory maximum, the CJA attorney shall
submit an authorization for additional interpreter services.
