ORDER
A Chief Judge may designate additional administrative leave days beyond federal
holidays. Examples include a day specially designated as a holiday by the President or the
Congress of the United States, by local court order, or the day immediately before or after
Christmas or Thanksgiving. Upon due consideration,
IT IS ORDERED that the offices of the United States District Court for the Western
District of Pennsylvania shall be closed on Wednesday, December 24, 2025, as previously
Ordered, and on Friday, December 26, 2025. The Duty District Judge and Duty Magistrate Judge
will be responsible for carrying out those Judges’ duties. Electronic case filing remains available,
and the procedures for emergency matters can be found on the Court’s website.
