A UNITED STATES MAGISTRATE JUDGE
FOR THE SOUTHERN DISTRICT OF OHIO AT DAYTON
ORDER
In accordance with the authority conferred by 28 U.S.C. § 631 , et seq., and the
regulations of the Judicial Conference promulgated under authority of 28 U.S.C. § 631 (B)(5) it
is ORDERED that Peter B. Silvain, Jr. be, and he is hereby appointed as a full-time United
States Magistrate Judge at the salary fixed by the Judicial Conference of the United States with
his official duty station being designated at Dayton.
Peter B. Silvain, Jr. shall enter upon his duties as a United States Magistrate Judge on
May 10, 2021 , but prior to entering upon such duties, he shall take the oath or affirmation
prescribed by 28 U.S.C. §§ 453 and 63 l(g).
Peter B. Silvain, Jr. is to hold and discharge the duties of his office for a term of eight (8)
years from the date of his appointment subject to the provisions of 28 U.S.C. § 631 (c), unless
sooner removed.
The Clerk will cause certified copies of this Order to be spread upon the records of the
several divisions of this Court and shall likewise forward a certified copy of this Order to the
Director of the Administrative Office of the United States Courts, as required by 28 U.S.C. §
631 (h).
