8 Pursuant to Title 28, United States Code, Section 1871(b)(2) and (3), when a petit
9 juror is required to attend more than ten (10) days of actual petit jury service (including
10 days of travel) or a grand juror is required to attend more than forty-five (45) days of actual
11 grand jury service (including days of travel), said juror may be paid an additional fee not
12 exceeding $10.00 more than the attendance fee for each day in excess of the ten (10) days
13 of actual petit jury service or forty-five (45) days of actual grand jury service, unless the
14 presiding judge determines in his or her discretion that such enhanced fees are not
15 appropriate and directs that they not be paid. Therefore;

17 IT IS ORDERED that in the District of Nevada grand jurors serving in excess of
18 forty-five (45) days and petit jurors serving in excess of ten (10) days of actual jury
19 service (including days of travel) shall receive an increase of attendance fees of $10.00
20 for each day present (or in travel status) until such petit or grand juror is excused, unless
21 the presiding judge determines in his or her discretion that such enhanced fees are not
22 appropriate and directs that they not be paid.
