UNITED STATES DISTRICT COURT

DISTRICT OF NEVADA

IN RE: NON-PARTY REMOTE ACCESS TO
CIVIL PROCEEDINGS FIRST AMENDED GENERAL
ORDER 2025—01

General Order 2025-01 allows the public to remotely view civil hearings via Zoom if
the presiding judge permits. That General Order conflicts with the Administrative Office of the
United States Courts’ Guide to Judiciary Policy, Vol. 10, sec. 420(b), which allows the public
remote audio access only. Therefore, General Order 2025-01 must be revised to eliminate
public video access and allow for only audio access.
I THEREFORE ORDER that non-parties may request remote audio access in a civil
proceeding on a case-by-case basis by submitting a Non-Party Access Request form to the
Clerk’s Office. The form is available at www.nvd.uscourts.gov/court-
information/forms/nonpartyremote, which includes instructions for submitting the form. By
submitting a request for remote access, the requestor consents to the jurisdiction of the court.
The clerk of court will file the Non-Party Access Request on the case docket. Any party may
object to an access request by filing an objection on the docket or, if time does not permit,
asserting an objection on the record at the commencement of the proceeding to which access is
sought.
I FURTHER ORDER that no recordings, photographing, or retransmitting of
proceedings in federal court are permitted. Any violation of this provision will result in
immediate revocation of remote access to the proceeding and may lead to a ban on remote
