D. Nev. Standing Order — 2025-01 — 4 IN RE: NON-PARTY REMOTE ACCESS TO

x JANUARY 30, 2025 UNITED STATES DISTRICT COURT 1 DISTRICT OF NEVADA 2 3 4 IN RE: NON-PARTY REMOTE ACCESS TO CIVIL PROCEEDINGS GENERAL ORDER 2025—01 5 6 7 Civil proceedings are generally open to the public. Some courts allow the public to 8 view civil proceedings by remote access. The Court deems it wise to adopt a policy allowing 9 non-parties to a case to remotely view civil proceedings if the presiding judge permits. 10 I THEREFORE ORDER that non-parties may request remote access in a civil 11 proceeding on a case-by-case basis by submitting a Non-Party Access Request form to the 12 Clerk’s Office. The form is available at www.nvd.uscourts.gov/court- 13 information/forms/nonpartyremote, which includes instructions for submitting the form. By 14 submitting a request for remote access, the requestor consents to the jurisdiction of the court. 15 The clerk of court will file the Non-Party Access Request on the case docket. Any party may 16 object to an access request by filing an objection on the docket or, if time does not permit, 17 asserting an objection on the record at the commencement of the proceeding to which access is 18 sought. 19 I FURTHER ORDER that no recordings, photographing, or retransmitting of 20 proceedings in federal court are permitted. Any violation of this provision will result in 21 immediate revocation of remote access to the proceeding and may lead to a ban on remote 22 access in any other proceeding in this court. The court may also impose other sanctions it 23 deems necessary, including, without limitation, monetary sanctions. 24 DATED this 29th day of January, 2025. 25 26 ANDREW P. GORDON CHIEF UNITED STATES DISTRICT JUDGE 27
