Federal Court Post-Plea/Pre-
5 Adjudication Program Pilot Project

7 The United States District Court for the unofficial Southern Division of the District of
8 Nevada, the United States Pretrial Services Office, the United States Probation Office, the United
9 States Attorney’s Office, and the Federal Public Defender’s Office for the District of Nevada have
10 identified the need for a comprehensive post-plea/pre-adjudication program that blends treatment
11 and sanction alternatives to effectively address offender behavior, rehabilitation, and the safety of
12 the community. Working together, a pilot program has been created to address this need as
13 outlined in the Interagency Agreement for the Recovery, Inspiration, Support & Excellence (RISE)
14 Program.
15 Accordingly, it is ORDERED that the program known as RISE Court shall proceed in the
16 Unofficial Southern Division for the District of Nevada for a period of two years after which it
17 will be further evaluated. The program will be managed by United States District Judge Jennifer
18 A. Dorsey and United States Magistrate Judge Nancy J. Koppe.
