ADMINISTRATIVE ORDER
IT IS HEREBY ORDERED that law students participating in the summer internship
program for the office of the Federal Public Defender for the District of New Mexico, may assist
in the representation of criminal defendants in the United States District Court for the District of
New Mexico, provided that said law students are 1) enrolled and in good standing with an ABA
accredited law school; 2) have completed a minimum of two full semesters of law school
coursework; 3) have received the consent of the party on whose behalf he or she appears; and 4)
are actively supervised by an Assistant Federal Public Defender, pursuant to Local Rule 57.4
who attests to the student’s compliance with this order on the record.
