IN THE MATTER OF:
THE CLOSURE OF THE U.S. COURTHOUSE
IN LAS CRUCES TO PUBLIC ACCESS 20-MC-00004-29
ADMINISTRATIVE ORDER
WHEREAS, this Court continues to evaluate its response to the spread of COVID-19
and recognizes the need to assist in the preservation of public safety and health while effectively
administering justice during this period of national emergency;
WHEREAS, a contractor to a tenant of the United States Courthouse in Las Cruces, New
Mexico recently tested positive for COVID-19; it is hereby
ORDERED that, effective immediately, the United States Courthouse in Las Cruces,
New Mexico will be closed to public access through Friday, July 24, 2020. Only those persons
with official court business shall enter the courthouse.
Persons having official court business include:
Court employees and contractors,
Couriers, package and postal workers, and
Others specifically authorized by a judicial officer of the district.
