All persons entering a federal courthouse in this district and all items carried by them shall be
subject to appropriate screening and checking by a United States Marshal, a security officer, or
any law enforcement officer on duty. Visitors are required to present identification prior to being
allowed to enter the courthouse. The United States Marshal shall determine the forms of
identification that are acceptable for admission. Bar Cards may substitute for this identification
requirement. The United States Marshal, or a designee, may for good cause shown approve
access to any visitor who does not have an acceptable form of identification and may require that
individual to record his or her name in a log maintained by Court Security Officers. Any person
who refuses to cooperate with these security measures may be denied entrance to the courthouse.
