WHEREAS, Thursday, January 9, 2025, has been designated as a National Day of
Mourning for the late President James Earl Carter, Jr.;
WHEREAS, all executive departments and agencies of the Federal Government, as well
as the Supreme Court and the Administrative Office of the U.S. Courts, will consequently be
closed;
NOW THEREFORE, the District Court for the Western District of Michigan will also
be closed on this date. All District Court filings due on January 9, 2025, will be accepted as
timely on January 10, 2025.
IT IS SO ORDERED.
