ORDER
This matter comes before the Court on the January 9, 2020 letter-petition filed by John C.
Lange, Esq. (P39302) to reinstate his membership in the bar of this District pursuant to W.D.Mich.
LGenR. 2.3(b)(v) (the "Petition"). Chief Judge Robert J. Jonker assigned this matter to the
undersigned three-judge panel (the "Panel") for hearing and decision. See Administrative Order
No. 20-AD-017.
At the Panel's request, Attorney Lange supplemented his Petition with voluminous and
responsive material, including transcripts, other documents, and orders from several tribunals.
After reviewing the original and supplemental materials, the Panel convened a hearing, by
telephone, 1 at which Attorney Lange and his sponsor, Kurt A. Steinke, Esq., participated. After
administering the oath, the Panel inquired into the circumstances leading to Attorney Lange's 2014
suspension from practicing law in this State. Mr. Lange responded candidly, taking full
responsibility for his actions, offering an explanation, and describing his substantial and continuing
