WHEREAS, upon the recommendation of Magistrate Judge Phillip J. Green, the Court
has determined that the case Jeffrey D. Runels v. Bart Bennett, et al., Case No. 1:23-cv-0254,
which is assigned to the Honorable Paul L. Maloney, is cognate to Jeffrey D. Runels v. Ray P.
Statler, et al., Case No. 1:23-cv-0253, which is assigned to the Honorable Robert Jonker;
WHEREAS the Judges Maloney and Jonker have consented to the reassignment of Jeffrey
D. Runels v. Bart Bennett, et al., Case No. 1:23-cv-0254; and
WHEREAS the Court is mindful of the need for the exercise of judicial economy;
IT IS HEREBY ORDERED that the Clerk of Court shall reassign Jeffrey D. Runels v.
Bart Bennett, et al., Case No. 1:23-cv-0254, to Judge Jonker and to Magistrate Judge Green under
the approved procedure. See W.D. Mich. LCivR 3.3.2(c)(ii).
IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that another case shall be assigned to Judge Maloney
according to the approved procedure.
A copy of this Administrative Order shall be filed in each of the above-referenced cases.
