WHEREAS Magistrate Judge Ray Kent has determined that Smartrend Manufacturing
Group (SMG), Inc. v. Opti-Luxx Inc., Case No. 1:22-cv-915, currently assigned to the Honorable
Paul L. Maloney, is related to Smartrend Manufacturing Group (SMG), Inc. v. Opti-Luxx Inc.,
Case No. 1:21-cv-1009, assigned to the Honorable Hala Y. Jarbou,
WHEREAS both Article III Judges have consented to the reassignment of the above cases,
IT IS ORDERED that, in the interests of judicial economy and to conserve judicial
resources, this matter is REASSIGNED to Chief Judge Jarbou, pursuant to W.D. Mich. LCivR
3.3.2(b)(iii).
IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that the Honorable Ray Kent shall be the assigned
magistrate in these cases.
IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that another case shall be assigned to the Honorable Paul
L. Maloney, according to the approved procedure
A copy of this Administrative Order shall be filed in each case referenced herein.
