WHEREAS a vacancy occurred in the office of the Clerk of the Court with the retirement
of Thomas L. Dorwin, effective August 5, 2022; and
WHEREAS Michelle Benham was appointed Acting Clerk of Court effective August 6,
2022, to temporarily fill that vacancy until a successor Clerk of Court could be appointed; and
WHEREAS the Court by unanimous vote of the Judges determined to hire Ann E. Filkins
as Clerk of Court;
THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY ORDERED that Ann E. Filkins is appointed Clerk of
Court for the United States District Court for the Western District of Michigan, effective August
29, 2022, to succeed Thomas L. Dorwin, the previous Clerk of Court, and Michelle Benham, the
Acting Clerk of Court.
IT IS SO ORDERED.
