In re: E.D. Mich, LR 26.2, Filing Administrative Order
Discovery Material
No. 08-AO- OC/7
ADMINISTRATIVE ORDER
At its meeting on March 3, 2008, the Court approved proposed amendments to E.D.
Mich. LR 26.2, effective April 1, 2008.
It has been brought to the Court's attention that LR 26.2 as approved does not refer
to the Court's long-standing prohibition of filing discovery material being extended to
include the certificates of service for filing discovery material. Certificates of service for
discovery material were referenced in the proposed amendments to LR 26.2(a) which were
published for comment. Through an administrative error, this reference was deleted when
presented to the Court for approval.
At its meeting on October 7,2008, the Court approved corrected amendments to
LR 26.2(a) nunc pro tunc to April 1, 2008:
(a) A party or other person may not file discovery material specified in
Fed.R.Civ.P. 5(d)(1) and certificates of service for such discovery material
except:
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS ORDERED THAT the Clerk is directed to correct the text
of E.D. Mich.LR 26.2(a) to read as shown above.
IT IS FURTHER ORDERED THAT the Clerk is directed to post notice of this
amendment along with this Administrative Order on the Court's website and to notify all
registered filing users in the Court's CIVI/ECF system via blast email.
IT IS ORDERED.
