At their regular meeting on November 1, 1999, the Judges of the United States
District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan authorized the Chief Judge to enter the
following administrative order. This administrative order supersedes Administrative Order
97-AO-062.
ADMINISTRATIVE ORDER
IT IS ORDERED THAT all offices of the United States District Court for the Eastern
District of Michigan will be closed annually on the Friday after Thanksgiving Day, providing
that ample notice (including an emergency contacttelephone number) is given to the public
and legal community. The office ofthe Court Administrator will be responsible for providing
such notice.
