In Re: APPOINTMENT OF MAGISTRATE GENERAL ORDER
JUDGE MERIT SELECTION PANEL NO. 25-16
United States Magistrate Judge Regina S. Edwards is being considered for reappointment.
Pursuant to the Federal Magistrates Act, 28 U.S.C. § 631(b)(5), and the regulations of the Judicial
Conference of the United States1 which establishes standards and procedures for the reappointment
of United States Magistrate Judges, it is hereby ORDERED that the following persons are
appointed members of the Merit Selection Panel to advise the Court regarding the possible
reappointment of Magistrate Judge Regina S. Edwards to a new eight year term upon the
conclusion of her present term.

The Panel shall, in accordance with the above regulations, report to the court by February
24, 2026 its recommendations regarding the reappointment of Magistrate Judge Regina S.
Edwards. Pursuant to the Guide to Judiciary Policy, each panel member has received written
notice of the restriction in Vol. 3, Ch. 4, § 420.30.20(d).
