ADMINISTRATIVE ORDER
Pursuant to Title 28, Section 631(b)(5). and the pertinent regulations promulgated
by the Judicial Conference of the United States, those persons whose names appear on
the attached list are appointed as members of the Merit Selection Panel for the purpose
of examining the apphcatlons of potential nominees for the positions of United States
Magistrate Judge for the Southern District of Illinois, the positions being vacated by
Magistrate Judge Stephen C. Williams and the retirement of Magistrate Judge Donald 0.
Wilkerson. The Panel will report the results of its activities to the Court within 90 days
after its creation, specifying at least six but no more than ten nominees the Panel
determines to be the best qualified, and with its report, include all written information
received by or prepared by the Panel concerning the recommended nominees. The Merit
Selection Panel will meet at such times and places as determined by the chairperson.
