ORDER SETTING RENEWAL FEE TO $50 EVERY FIVE YEARS
Under Rule 2.01(b)(2), Local Rules of the Middle District of Florida, and
the Tenth Amended Plan for Administration of Non-Appropriated Funds,
members of the Middle District Bar must pay a local periodic renewal fee as set
by administrative order. In October 2024, the Board of Judges voted
unanimously to set the periodic renewal fee to $50 every five years. The next
renewal fee period will begin on June 2, 2025, and end on August 31, 2025. A
$50 late fee applies to a renewal fee paid between September 1, 2025, and
September 30, 2025. A lawyer who fails to pay the renewal fee by September
30, 2025, must reapply for membership to the Middle District Bar and pay a
$224 general admission fee. A lawyer admitted to the Middle District Bar on or
after March 1, 2025, is not required to pay the renewal fee in 2025.
