APPOINTMENT OF A UNITED STATES
MAGISTRATE JUDGE MERIT PANEL
ADMINISTRATIVE ORDER
Pursuant to the authority conferred by 28 U.S.C. Sections 631, et seq., and the further
authority granted by the Judicial Conference of the United States, the Board of Judges for the District of
Connecticut hereby appoints the following persons to the Merit Selection Panel for the District of
Connecticut to review whether Magistrate Judge Joan Glazer Margolis should be reappointed to an
additional eight (8) year term.
Now therefore, it is ORDERED that the members of the Merit Selection Panel for the District
of Connecticut are:

It is further ORDERED that the Panel report to the Court whether Magistrate Judge Margolis
is recommended for reappointment within ninety (90) days of appointment. The Panel must review the
incumbent's current service as magistrate judge and other experience, the comments from members of
the bar and public, and other evidence of the incumbent's good character, ability, and commitment to
equal justice under the law. A written report must be submitted by no later than September 6, 2016.
