Pursuant to the authority conferred by 28 U.S.C. Sections 631, et seq., and the further
authority granted by the Judicial Conference of the United States, the Judges for the District of
Connecticut hereby appoints a Merit Selection Panel to review the applications of candidates for a
United States Magistrate Judge vacancy in Hartford, CT, for an eight (8) year term .
Now therefore, it is ORDERED that the members of the Merit Selection Panel for the
District of Connecticut are:

Ross H. Garber (lawyer)
Carlton Highsmith (non-lawyer)
Margaret Hiller (non-lawyer)

It is further ORDERED that within ninety (90) days of appointment, the Panel must
provide the Court with a recommendation of five (5) applications to interview for the current
vacancy.
All applications must have been received by July 2, 2015, in accordance with the court's
Public Notice Appointment of New Magistrate Judge.
