On behalf of the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, and pursuant to
18 U.S.C. §3006A(g)(2)(A) and the regulations promulgated by the Judicial Conference of
the United States,
IT IS HEREBY ORDERED THAT Charles F. Willson is provisionally appointed as the
Federal Public Defender for the District of Connecticut for a term of four years, subject to
the completion of a satisfactory background investigation. This provisional appointment
commences on April 1, 2026, at an annual salary as authorized by law.
Mr. Willson has waived the protections of the Criminal Justice Act, 18 USC §
3006A(g)(2)(A), relevant to this provisional appointment. The signed waiver is attached and
incorporated as part of this Order.
