12 SUPERSEDES GENERAL ORDER 22-23
13 The majority of judges of this Court hereby appoint on this date, six members of a
14 CJA Merit Selection Panel, who shall have the responsibility to review the applications of
15 all individuals seeking to be appointed to the Phoenix CJA Panel and make formal
16
recommendations to the Chief Judge as to which of those applicants should be considered
17
for appointment. The Panel will consider comments solicited from members of the bar, as
18
well as other evidence of the applicant’s experience, legal ability, character, and judgment.
19
The six members of the CJA Merit Selection Panel so appointed are as follows:
20
• Judge Cassie Woo, Maricopa County Superior Court
21
• Commissioner Jacki Ireland, Maricopa County Superior Court
22
• Mr. Carlos Anthony Brown, CJA Panel Attorney District Representative
23
• Ms. Davina Godley, Current CJA Panel Attorney
24
• Ms. Candice Shoemaker, Current CJA Panel Attorney
25
• Ms. Emily Wolkowicz, Maricopa County Office of the Public Defender
26
The members of the CJA Merit Selection Panel will serve until further order of the
27
Court.
