In accordance with the authority conferred by Title 28 U.S.C. § 631, et seq., and

further authority granted and action taken by the Judicial Conference of the United States,

IT IS ORDERED the following persons are hereby appointed as the Merit
16
Selection Panel for the purpose of accepting and screening applications, holding oral
17
interviews as they deem necessary, and selecting individuals to recommend to the Court
18
for two full-time United States Magistrate Judge positions for the District of Arizona in
19
Tucson, Arizona.

1 IT IS FURTHER ORDERED the Committee will recommend no less than six of
2 the most qualified applicants to the Court within ninety (90) days of the appointment of the
3 panel. This order shall become a part of the official records of this Court, and a copy shall
4 be sent to the Magistrate Judges’ Division of the Administrative Office of the United States
5 Courts.
6 All panel members have been advised in writing of the restriction set forth in
7 420.30.20(d) of the Regulation of the Judicial Conference of the United States Establishing
8 Standards and Procedures for the Appointment and Reappointment of United States
9 Magistrate Judges.
10 The majority of the judges of this Court have concurred to this order.
