General Order 2017-3 Abrogation of General Orders 36 and 37

W.D. Ark. Standing Order — General Order 2017-3 Abrogation of General Orders 36 and 37

IN THE UNITED STATES DISTRICT COURT WESTERN DISTRICT OF ARKANSAS GENERAL ORDER NO. 2017-3 Abrogation of General Orders 36 and 37 On June 30, 2005 the Court adopted General Orders 36 and 37, which permitted the full implementation of the Case Management/Electronic Case Files (CM/ECF) system for all civil and criminal filings effective August 15, 2005. The orders also approved the CMIECF Administrative Policies and Procedures Manual for Civil Filings and the CMIECF Administrative Policies and Procedures Manual for Criminal Filings. However, the Court finds that the filing and service of documents in the Western District of Arkansas is currently permitted by Local Rules 5.1 and 5.2. The administrative manuals for civil and criminal filings have also been substantially updated and combined into one manual. Therefore, the Court ABROGATES General Orders 36 and 37 in that they are duplicative and no longer necessary to permit electronic filing in the Western District of Arkansas. The Court also APPROVES the Administrative Policies and Procedures Manual for Civil and Criminal Filings as amended May 1, 2017, which may be amended at any time without prior notice. SO ORDERED Dated : May 1, 2017 Honorable P.K. Holmes, Ill Chief United States District Judge US DISTRICT COURT WP.sTBRN DIST ARKANSAS FILED MAY - 1 2017 DOUGLAS F. YOUNG, Clerk By Deputy Clerk
