GENERAL ORDER NO. 2017-5
Abrogation of General Order 12
On September 10, 1985, the Court entered General Order 12 adopting a Plan for the
Effective Utilization of Court Reporters as approved by the Judicial Council of the Eighth Circu it
on August 30 , 1985. In order to insure that the plan for the Western District of Arkansas
adequately covers all of the elements required by Volume 6, Chapter 2 of the Guide to Judiciary
Policies and Procedures , the Court recently replaced the old plan with a new Management Plan
for Court Reporters and Recording Services The new plan was approved by the Eighth Circuit
Judicial Council on June 26 , 2017. A general order is not necessary for the adoption of the new
plan .
Therefore, the Court ABROGATES General Order 12.
