REAPPOINTMENT OF UNITED STATES GENERAL ORDER
MAGISTRATE JUDGE SCOTT ORAVEC 21-01
AT FAIRBANKS, ALASKA
IT IS HEREBY ORDERED THAT: Upon the unanimous vote of the judges of the Court,
SCOTT ORAVEC is reappointed as part-time United States Magistrate Judge with chambers in
Fairbanks, Alaska, at a salary fixed by the Judicial Conference of the United States.
Scott Oravec will enter upon the performance of his duties on the 20th day of February,
2021. Scott Oravec is to hold and discharge the duties of his office for a term of four (4) years
from the date of his reappointment, subject to the provisions of 28 U.S.C. § 631, unless sooner
removed.
Scott Oravec will perform the duties prescribed by 28 U.S.C. § 636, and is specially
designated to try persons accused of, and to sentence persons convicted of, minor offenses as
defined in 18 U.S.C. § 3401, and to perform such additional duties as may now or hereafter be
prescribed or referred to in the local rules of this Court, said duties under the authority granted by
28 U.S.C. § 636, and not inconsistent with the Constitution and laws of the United States.
The Clerk of the Court is directed to forward a certified copy of this Order to the Director
of the Administrative Office of the United States Courts as required by 28 U.S.C. § 631(h).
